New York State
Senior UI Designer
2021

Overview
The NY State Excelsior pass was designed to help New York City transition back to a post-quarantine experience of the city. In addition to the core design, we had to make sure the app was accessible in 12 different languages, including languages written/read right to left.
I was responsible for executing critical pieces of the UI and key prototypes under a compressed timeline of 4 months.

Note
For this project all of the UX, personas and research had already been completed prior to my arrival.
I was here strictly to complete the UI and work through developer handoff.
Bonus
In 2021, as the priority was to re-open cities, I swiftly developed a "health pass" design system. This system could be easily adapted and implemented by other states, serving as a convenient foundation for creating their own state-specific "health passes." The package also encompassed our code repository to facilitate the process and was built in Adobe XD.
Reflection
This was a very exciting and fast paced consumer product to work on. Working closely with government entities to ensure translations and accessibility were met was a very interesting process. In the end I would of liked to be a little bit more hands-on with the UX, but I enjoyed the UI element a lot in this project.
